Basic purpose: To prepare quotation packages for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, to prepare Instrument Review report packages, and to complete instrument crossovers.

 

 

EPC Quote specialist II

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications from EPC design packages and select the WIKA product equivalents to best meet those specifications including product models, construction materials, media compatibility, and certification and/or inspection requirements.

  • Work directly with the engineers at EPC firms to develop solutions for special RFQ technical requirements (eg special wetted materials, compatibility with caustic or toxic media, and other special design requirements)

  • Prepare complete bid packages in Excel and Word including product descriptions, pricing, product availability, datasheets, certificates & other documentation as needed

  • Preparing complete Instrument Review (IR) project proposals based on plant audit information provided by IR Technicians.

  • Create part numbers, prepare “maintenance and operating procedure” documentation, and coordinate inspection/testing certificates for awarded orders

  • Select and facilitate outside vendors for services such as crate packaging, material inspections, and 3rd-party certifications

  • Maintain competitor product-crossover files from information that can be taken from design specifications and identify the competitor’s standard products and features vs WIKA standard features

     

 

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in customer service or sales
  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred, preferably in an technical/engineering discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Fluent in English
