The Assembly Technician I performs assembly functions in a Direct Drive production cell. This role also operates and troubleshoots production equipment and performs minor adjustments as necessary.

Assembly Tech I


• Operates production equipment.
• Assists in troubleshooting production equipment.
• Performs equipment changeovers.
• Takes responsibility for quality control.
• Makes adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Rejects product outside of specifications.
• Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs).
• Completes daily production logs.
• Performs preventive maintenance (PMs) on production equipment.
• Communicates with operators from other shifts.
• Cleans and maintains work area (5S).
• Ensures product is assembled to required configuration.
• Provides on-the-job training to new employees.
• Performs ancillary duties as needed.


• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to add, subtract, and record data onto tabulation sheets.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts a plus.
• Computer literacy desired, but not required.
