Responsible for developing suppliers and sources for the WIKA Americas for key components that include metal parts, machined parts, deep drawn parts, seals, electronics, transportation and plastic parts as well as raw materials like bar stock and resins. This position will work together with a global team of lead buyers to analyze and decide best sourcing strategies for the WIKA group. Responsible for developing procurement strategies to meet changing business needs and conditions.

Director Of Procurement


Develops sourcing strategies in conjunction with other members of the supply chain management team

Oversees and supervises procurement activities in WIKA USA (multiple sites) and works to align activities with current supply chain and corporate strategies

Manages procurement activities from high volume buys to low volume engineered solution business

Manages a $110+ million spend within WIKA Americas with 40/60% split between external and internal suppliers.

Implements and manages suppliers (VMI, consignment, etc…) to include price negotiation and contract management – both domestically and internationally

Develops domestic supplier base for the Americas and coordinates global suppliers with WIKA Germany

Develops market intelligence strategies utilizing the existing global tools and information

Harmonizes strategic procurement efforts within WIKA Americas

Develops and implements lean and cost effective procurement processes across WIKA USA

Performs ancillary duties as required


Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field

Seven to ten years progressive procurement experience in an international manufacturing or engineering facility

Three to five  years supervisory experience required to include leading an experienced procurement team

International sourcing experience required and strong knowledge about the domestic sourcing market

Multilingual experience preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.

Excellent presentation skills required
